Knife Party has announced that they have a new EP coming out titled Trigger Warning and it will be released in the next 6-8 weeks. That release date is very tentative given their propensity to miss deadlines, like what happened during the Abandon Ship album cycle. However the album did leak several weeks ahead of time, so those two factors might balance each other out. -
Stream 'Southpaw' Soundtrack Feat. Eminem, 50 Cent, The Weeknd
The new Hollywood feature film Southpaw featuring Jake Gyllenhaal, Rachel McAdams, Forest Whitaker and others has unveiled the official movie soundtrack that was executive produced by Eminem. The soundtrack features new songs from the Rap God, including a collaboration with Gwen Stefani titled "Kings Never Die," the theme song for the film "Phenomenal" and "All I Think About" from his Bad Meets Evil duo with Royce da 5'9". There are other tunes from Em's Shady Records family including 50 Cent and Slaughterhouse. Other contributions come in from artists new and old like The Weeknd and Biggie. -

The hottest story in hip-hop for the last week has been Meek Mill's allegations that Drake uses a ghostwriter, and the Toronto rapper turned up the heat by releasing "Charged Up," a perceived diss track aimed at his accuser. Responses to Drake's release have been fairly positive, at least from fans (Mill himself hasn't responded to the track yet) but Drizzy has a while to go in terms of both attitude and wordplay if he wants to land on the list of the greatest diss tracks ever. NBA 2k16 has unveiled the complete tracklist for its upcoming video, which will be released on Sept. 25 in the United States. 2K called upon three of the biggest DJs in hip-hop at the moment, DJ Mustard, DJ Premier and DJ Khaled to executive produce the soundtrack, each adding 10 selections to the song rotation. Within those 10 are two exclusive tracks from each DJ to the soundtrack. -

The quick-release method has helped other rappers Drake, Kendrick Lamar and Meek Mill get to the top of the charts as well during 2015. -
