    Bandsintown, a site that tracks music acts and keeps users up to date on when their favorite acts are coming to a venue nearby, has released its annual Top 10 of the heaviest touring acts on the road. American Aquarium, an alternative country act from Raleigh, NC takes the prize for 2014 with 206 gigs played as of publication.

    The folks over at Music Machinery looked into how the trend affects Spotify and found some interesting aka ridiculous numbers. The foremost of which is that the streaming service features more than 900,000 Christmas songs from nearly 64,000 different performers.

    Black Dynamite, the animated version of the cult classic 2009 film of the same name, will air a one-hour special tying the '70s-set Blaxploitation-tation narrative into police discrimination and brutality. Tyler, The Creator and Erykah Badu have been tapped for guest roles, as well as comedian J.B. Smoove.
