According to Billboard, Ye will be one of five luminaries, including Usher, actress Phylicia Rashad, Johnnetta Betsch Cole, and John W. Thompson, honored at the eighth annual ceremony hosted by Wayne Brady.

Dot today through one of his other projects. Lamar teamed up with Reebok to debut their new Ventilator OG sneaker, which commemorates the 25th anniversary of their Ventilator line. As part of the partnership, Lamar is featured in a short film directed by Anthony Mandler (Jay Z, Rihanna) called "Kendrick - I am."

They had appeared to have patched things up until this summer when 50 bullied Mayweather on Instagram by challenging him to read a page from Harry Potter without messing it up, and there have been a few back-and-forth comments since then. While Fiddy might not have the best relationship right now with Mayweather, he still reached out to him following the tragic murder-suicide that Mayweather was a reported witness to.

This is sparked rumors of new material from the group, which would be their first new music since 2009's No One's First and You're Next. As Pitchfork points out, the band has been playing a song believed to have the title "Lampshades on Fire" live since 2011, so it's possible that they are finally getting around to recording it.

    San Fermin, the brainchild of composer and songwriter Ellis Ludwig-Leone, released its self-titled debut album in September of 2013 after Ludwig-Leone spent two months locked up at the Banff Centre, a secluded retreat for composers, tucked away in the Canadian mountains. He later assembled a group of highly trained musicians to record and perform his work, and by the time the album came out, he had already finished work on the sequel. However, after experience life on the road and performing his music in a live setting, he decided to rewrite the record. The result is the upcoming album Jackrabbit, which is due out in the spring. Along with the announcement, the band premiered their lead single "Parasites."

    2014 has been a landmark year for Sam Smith, and as of last week, he is officially a six-time Grammy nominee. With the holiday's soon approaching, he chose to sing a stripped-down cover of "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas," which was made famous by Judy Garland in the 1994 musical Meet Me In St. Louis. Smith stays faithful to the original against sparse chords on a grand piano with his voice angelic as always. The song is now available on iTunes.

    Last month, former Fleet Foxes drummer Josh Tillman announced his second Father John Misty album, I Love You, Honeybear. The follow-up to 2012's Fear Fun, the effort is due out Feb. 10 via Sub Pop. Tillman performed a cut from the album, "Bored in the USA," along with a 22-piece string orchestra section on The Late Show With David Letterman, and now he's released another cut from the album, titled "Chateau Lobby #4 (in C For Two Virgins)," accompanied by a trippy video that he directed and his filmmaker wife Emma shot on an iPad.

    Last month A$AP Ferg dropped his Ferg Forever mixtape, but one song in particular, the Stelios-produced track "Dope Walk," is making headlines because of a reference Ferg makes to model Cara Delevingne. "I'm on my gangster lean like a dope fiend / My walk's meaner than Cara Delevingne's / "Check out my walk because it's so amazing / Nothing like Bobby Shmurda's but I congratulate him / More like a gangsta lean, let's get this picture painted," Ferg raps on the braggadocious verse.

The contemplative track features calming piano, jazzy horns, and Cole's soulful crooning. It's good to see the Fayetteville rapper hasn't let fame go to his head.
