• GRAMMYs 2015 Nominations: Sam Smith, Taylor Swift, Pharrell Williams Among Early Nominees

    The biggest night in music is just around the corner, even if it's hard to believe that yet another year has passed. Today (Dec. 5), the nominations for the 57th Annual GRAMMY Awards are being rolled out via Twitter and various television appearances. Early on, predicted favorites lead the nominations with Sam Smith, Iggy Azalea, Sia, Taylor Swift and Pharrell Williams all racking up multiple nods.

    The star studded R&B show highlighted some of the genre's upcoming talent along with the originators who paved the way. Beyonce took home Album of the Year for her self-titled EP. Chris Brown performed a melody of his hits and Kool & the Gang were honored with the Soul Train Legends Award, among all of the other excitement of the night.

    Lil' Kim, Missy Elliott and Da Brat reunited at the Soul Train Awards last month for a performance of their 1997 collaboration "Not Tonight (Ladies Night Remix)." The show aired last night, Nov. 30, and the crowd was loving every minute of it. Eric Benet sang the intro while Total, MC Lyte, The Lady of Rage and Yo-Yo all joined in on the fun. The performance even included the Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes verse via a screen playing the music video. The audience erupted when Lil' Kim strutted onstage in the video below. She kicked off the wild song, eventually getting into her Shmoney Dance, "MTV News" noted. Left Eye's verse followed before Da Brat came out with some furious energy. Missy Elliott closed out the track and thanked everyone for their support: I speak 4 my sistas @Lilkim @ONLY1BRAT we truly thank y'all 4 the ❤️& we truly miss LeftEye she will always be a gem!

    Though Usher's upcoming album UR isn't going to be released any time soon, a new song from the R&B superstar titled "Cuz We Can" has leaked online, which you can check out below. It's not clear when this song was recorded, or how it will be officially released, if it was intended for release at all, though its sparkling electronic production suggests that this is a recent production.

Shortly after her post, the actress/model went back to twitter to clarify what she had been referencing — a television show. "I was talking about show Single Ladies.. I just came back from shooting an episode lol gee wiz."

Now Chris Brown and Trey Songz have released another cover, this time heading into the dance world and taken on David Guetta's latest radio hit "Dangerous" featuring the vocals of Sam Martin

    Trey Songz celebrated his 30th birthday recently, and he rung in the milestone with buddy Chris Brown and a full-out carnival. Kid Ink, Pusha T and Sevyn Streeter were also in attendance. As "Vibe" noted, the party featured women on stilts, a mechanical bull that Brown rode and cotton candy. Pictures posted by the Brand Group show Songz having a great time. Brown even treated his friend to a soulful rendition of "Happy Birthday" — see below. In August, Breezy and Trigga announced a joint tour that will kick off in January.     T.I. and Young Thug busted out some camouflage for the video for their collaboration "I Need War." The track is from September's Hustle Gang mixtape "G.D.O.D. 2," "XXL" noted. T.I. took time out of his busy schedule of promoting his ninth studio album, "Paperwork," to film the video, which features he and his crew getting amped up to play paintball. "Hey, all I gotta do is make my plan," T.I. raps. "All the motherf--king games, I don't play my man / If I slap his ass now in the mouth, bet next / Time I see him, p---y n---a tryna shake my hand." King's production crew did not let T-Pain leave without a performance, though, so the artist sang "I'm Sprung" from his debut album "Rappa Ternt Sanga," sans Auto-Tune. He did not disappoint, either. He also revealed sometime later that he is working with country star Luke Bryan. T-Pain gave his 2005 hit single a brief R&B makeover for King and the crew after the interview. "Billboard" is currently hosting the exclusive clip.

    Drake and P. Reign joined T.I. onstage in their hometown of Toronto last night, Nov. 17, as part of the "Dead and Gone" rapper's Paperwork Tour. Drizzy praised his friend at the gig before performing "Tuesday," "0 to 100" and "6 God." "I would not be where I am in my career without this man right here," Drake said about T.I., "MTV News" noted. "This man gave me one of the most important talks of my life at one of the most important times of my life and his life. Those are words that I'll never forget." The crowd erupts in the video below when Drake steps out onstage. The trio's energy was pretty contagious, and some photos from the event show just how good of friends they all are.
