  • Lorde, Diplo End Taylor Swift Beef on Twitter: Pair Appear to Be Buddies Again

It looks like the feud between Diplo and Lorde is over. After the two exchanged some words on Twitter regarding Taylor Swift, they seem to have squashed the silly beef. Diplo recently tweeted at Lorde to see if she wanted to attend "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" premiere with him. The "Royals" singer pleasantly declined. He tweeted yesterday, Nov. 17, "@lordemusic are u going to this movie premier w me tonight or what?," to which Lorde replied, "@diplo i'm not in la :( but have fun (and take a stress ball it's so intense!!)" The EDM star started the mini feud a few days ago after suggesting he create a Kickstarter campaign to get Taylor Swift a booty. The "Shake If Off" singer's pal did not like that too much.
  • Diplo, Ex-Girlfriend Kathryn Lockhart Welcome 2nd Son; Twitter Feud with Lorde, Taylor Swift Continues

Diplo is a father, again. The DJ/producer, aka Thomas Wesley Pentz, welcomed his second son with ex-girlfriend Kathryn Lockhart into the world recently. Lazer Lee Louis Pentz weighed 8 pounds 10 ounces at the time of birth, "Us Weekly" reports. The pair's first child, Lockett, was born in 2010. As of late, Diplo has been romantically linked to Katy Perry, although those rumors have not been confirmed. They were seen publicly at Coachella in April, and over the summer Perry went to Jamaica with the EDM artist to work on new, reggae-infused music. "The funniest moment was having Katy Perry in the studio singing 'woke up this morning feeling so blessed' and writing a whole song to the Rootsman Riddim while Jesse did the dub for 'Modern Day Judas,'" Walshy Fire, who was also in the studio with the pair, said. "Watching her catch that reggae vibe was the best part of recording." Diplo has been caught up in a social media scuffle lately with Taylor Swift and Lorde. A few days ago, the producer tweeted, "Someone should make a kickstarter to get taylor swift a booty." The campaign has not even raised $100 yet.
  • Justin Bieber Worked with Skrillex, Diplo on New Album [LISTEN]

EDM kings Skrillex and Diplo reportedly worked with Justin Bieber, producing a new album by the pop star and giving it an electronic makeover. DJ SKEE broke the news on his Weekend Update show for Dash Radio, saying some disc jockeys sat in on an exclusive listening event of the album. "It's supposed to be really, really dope, crossing over a few different formats," SKEE says in the video below, via YourEDM. "They're saying a lot of people who aren't feeling Bieber or wouldn't necessarily like that record are going to be caught off guard by that. So, shout out to Skrillex and Diplo for just killing the game." The two artists, known as Jack U, have been talking about their collaborations with other acts lately, saying that they have been in the studio with Usher, Madonna, Nicki Minaj and A$AP Ferg, who have all hit the duo up for collaboration. • Diplo, Skrillex Talk New Music, Riff Raff, More on 'Ebro'

The New York City media tour has been quite busy for Diplo and Skrillex this week. Hitting non-traditional outlets for dance music disc jockeys — meaning not the blogs, magazines and dance radio — the duo went on different radio and TV stations throughout the day to spread the good word about Skrillex and Diplo. They stopped in at Hot 97 to chat with Ebro Darden on his radio show "Ebro in the Morning" about a variety of topics including Riff Raff, new music, their roots and more via Do Androids Dance. It is not often that you see two dance producers/DJs on a hip-hop morning radio show, but Skrillex and Diplo have become big enough to earn that honor. Ebro has been skeptical of Riff Raff, someone who Diplo signed to his label Mad Decent, and they both assure him about the seriousness of Riff Raff and agree he is a quirky, polarizing individual who loves what he does, which is what attracts Diplo to him.
  • Diplo, Skrillex Appear on BET's '106 & Park' to Talk Jack U, New Music, More

Generally, BET's "106 & Park" only has artists involved in the hip-hop world, whether they are producers or rappers. But all rules go out the window when Diplo and Skrillex are involved, according to EDMTunes — especially when it is Diplo's birthday. Yesterday, as part of a non-traditional media day for disc jockeys, Skrillex and Diplo made an appearance on the show along with New Jersey DJs and producers DJ Fire and Dougie Fresh, who have released tracks on Diplo's record label Mad Decent. Since the show was geared toward an urban audience, the questions were related to their work with hip-hop and R&B acts, something both of them have experience in, Diplo especially. Diplo dished on club music, specifically Jersey club, and how he got in touch with DJ Fire and Dougie Fresh and the influence club music is having on the wider music arena. They discussed the inspiration for their new project Jack U and what it is up to over the next few months, including their Madison Square Garden show on New Year's Eve.
