  • Ed Sheeran Gets Jon Snow's 'Game of Thrones' Sword for His Birthday, Totally Geeks Out [WATCH]

Stars... they're just like us, because they love Game of Thrones and totally geek out about it. At the very least, that's something that Ed Sheeran does. For his birthday, the "Thinking Out Loud" singer was gifted Jon Snow's sword by a New Zealand radio station, and he totally lost his cool.
  • 'Uptown Funk' Holds No.1 on Hot 100 as Wiz Khalifa Climbs Chart with 'Furious 7' Single 'See You Again'

It was another deeply funky week in America. For the 14th week in a row, the seemingly unstoppable pop music force "Uptown Funk" by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars crowned the Billboard Hot 100, tying the likes of Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston and Elton John for the second longest run at the top of the charts.
  • Ed Sheeran Comes to 'Sesame Street' with Adorable New Song 'Two Different Worlds' [WATCH]

Ed Sheeran has probably not attended school in quite some time... but that doesn't mean the 24-year-old "Thinking Out Loud" singer can't teach a few lessons on how to behave when it's learning time. Yesterday (April 1), Sheeran stopped by Sesame Street for a little lesson on classroom etiquette with some help from Elmo, Cookie Monster and friends with a new song "Two Different Worlds."
  • Kendrick Lamar, 'Empire,' Action Bronson and Earl Sweatshirt Help Hip-Hop Dominate Album Sales Chart

The past few weeks have been amazing for hip-hop, as the Empire soundtrack and Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp A Butterfly have led both the Billboard 200 to three straight weeks of rap at no. 1. Although it's only been a two-week streak on the Album Sales chart (Empire was outsold by Madonna's Rebel Heart during its first week), this week is still newsworthy as the Top 3 spots on the chart are all held by hip-hop albums.
  • Mark Ronson, Bruno Mars' 'Uptown Funk' Sets Hot 100 Record as Natalie La Rose 'Somebody' Breaks Into Top 10

"Uptown Funk" is gonna give it to ya, all you other songs from the 2010s. For the 13th week in a row, the Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson Uptown Special single tops the Billboard Hot 100, setting the record for the longest-reigning No. 1 song of the decade. And while there seems to be no end in sight for the dominance of the funky throwback anthem, a newcomer, pop singer Natalie La Rose emerges in the top 10 with her single "Somebody" featuring Jeremih.
  • Kendrick Lamar First Performer with Two Weeks Atop Billboard 200 Since Taylor Swift; First R&B/Hip-Hop Artist Since Beyonce

Kendrick Lamar and To Pimp A Butterfly pulled off something that few performers outside of Taylor Swift have managed to wrangle in the last few months: holding the no. 1 position on the Billboard 200 for more than one week. The album spent a second week at the top spot on the chart-the only performer aside from Swift (who spent a total of 11 weeks at no. 1 with 1989) to have done so since November, having sold 123,000 equivalent units during its second full week of sales. The accomplishment is even more relevant for the R&B/Hip-Hop genres, where Butterfly becomes the first album since 2013's Beyoncé to spend multiple weeks at no. 1.

  • Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars 'Uptown Funk' No. 1 Again as Fetty Wap, Flo Rida See Gains on Hot 100

It's a very stagnant week in American pop music, as Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson reign supreme for the 12th straight week with "Uptown Funk." As the stronghold on the No. 1 spot in the country stays locked in, minimal moves were made for Fetty Wap's "Trap Queen" and top 10 newcomer Flo Rida with "G.D.F.R."
  • Kendrick Lamar's 'To Pimp A Butterfly' Dominates Billboard 200—'Empire,' Modest Mouse and 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Contend for No. 2

Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp A Butterfly has become his first release to top the Billboard 200 despite dropping a tad earlier than expected. The album went on to sell 363,000 equivalent copies, including single downloads and streams-breaking Spotify records in the process- on its way to the top. That was also the second largest debut of the year—behind Drake—giving hip-hop the two biggest albums of the year so far.
