• Demos from Dain Bramage, Dave Grohl's Pre-Nirvana band, discovered

    Dave Grohl has been involved with plenty of bands, but people will always bring it back to Nirvana. Even as Grohl enters his 20th year as the leader of the Foo Fighters, his reputation is still based more on his four-year tenure with Nirvana (fans of the latter band know he wasn't even with the band on its debut, Bleach). And of course, Grohl was involved with other groups before he came to Nirvana. One of those bands was Dain Bramage, and eight of its tracks from 1986 were recently dug up.
  • New Foo Fighters album is underway

    The Foo Fighters are officially back in the studio, according to a post on Instagram, which simply states "It's F***ing ON" next to a row of ATR magnetic tapes, marked Foo Fighters LP 8. Based on the photo, it would appear the band is staying old school and recording with an analog, reel-to-reel tape. But despite the basic approach, frontman Dave Grohl has been claiming that the new record will be revolutionary.

    The Firefly Music Festival has announced its 2014 lineup. Most notably, OutKast will be among the headliners, marking the third of their upcoming 40 shows. Foo Fighters and Jack Johnson are also slated as headliners this year.
  • Foo Fighters played first-ever Mexico gig last night with a 27-song setlist

    Foo Fighters performed their highly anticipated Mexico City gig last night. The show at Foro Sol marked the first time the band has played in Mexico. According to Setlist.fm, the band alternated between playing its greatest hits, songs off 2011's Wasting Light and covers of The Beatles, Pink Floyd and Tom Petty.
