  • Album Sales: Taylor Swift and '1989' Border 4 Million Overall, 'Guardians of The Galaxy Awesome Mix' Continues Solid Sales

Once again the actual album sales were a near clone to their cohort the Billboard 200 this week, with some subtle reorganizations going on. Taylor Swift was at the top with 1989 once again, selling 111,000 copies of her album. Just last week she had her first slot with less than 200,000 in sales for 2015's bestselling album and now it looks like she may drop below 100,000 next week. On the plus side, Swift is at 3.94 million total units moved for the album, meaning it will most likely reach quadruple-platinum in the next seven days.
  • Taylor Swift and '1989' Take Eighth Billboard 200 No. 1 Spot; Nicki Minaj Remains No. 2, 'Into The Woods' Soundtrack Gets Only Sales Increase

It's still cold out there for new music releases after the first full week of album sales during 2015, so it's not surprise that Taylor Swift was still on top of the Billboard 200 when today's numbers came out. It's the eighth week of ten that 1989 has been available where the record ended up on top, which makes it her second most-decorated album yet (Fearless spent 13 nonconsecutive weeks at no. 1 during 2008-'09). It moved 244,000 equivalent albums last week.
  • Johnny Depp's Romance with Amber Heard is Back on Track Since Sobering Up

We recently told you guys about how hard Johnny Depp was struggling to get his demons back under control after an embarrassing, drunk public display at the Hollywood Press Awards last November. Rather than heading off to a traditional rehab, Depp instead decided to pull himself together at home and the first step in doing so has been avoiding parties. • Johnny Depp Struggling to Get Drinking Under Control

Johnny Depp raised eyebrows last month when he turned up on stage at the Hollywood Press Awards looking pretty drunk. Presenting proved to be a challenge for the actor, and the headlines it garnered proved to be embarrassing for himself and his fiance, Amber Heard. Apparently, Depp has finally begun listening to those closest to him and is sticking close to home in an attempt to rehab himself. According to a report by Radar Online, Depp's ex Vanessa Paradis has blamed Heard for his falling off the wagon so hard, and now his current love is on board with helping the actor sober up. "Amber broke his sobriety, but she isn't necessarily a bad influence. She isn't a party girl anymore. Amber and family members asked him to get help. She is dead serious about walking away from him unless he cleans up his act. After realizing that he clearly had an issue, Johnny would often be seen traveling with a companion to help encourage his sobriety. Johnny's problem has always been his moderation. He couldn't just have one," said the source.
