  • 'Voice' Winner Jordan Smith Talks 'Something Beautiful,' Rihanna & Confidence [Exclusive]

At times, it may seem as though The Voice contestants come and go with the wind, but season 9 winner Jordan Smith refuses to be forgotten. Fresh off his win as a member of Team Adam in December 2015, the young man with a magical voice released his debut album Something Beautiful in March. And, in bucking the tradition of Voice alumni who don't fare that well in sales, the 12-song LP debuted at No. 2 on the U.S. charts, right behind former The Voice coach Gwen Stefani's new album.
  • Gwen Stefani 'This Is What the Truth Feels Like' Tops the Charts Over Jordan Smith, Rihanna

Hey, Gwen Stefani! This is what a No. 1 album feels like. Twenty years after scoring her last No. 1 album with No Doubt (for Tragic Kingdom), the "Make Me Like You" singer's third solo album This Is What the Truth Feels Like has topped the Billboard 200.
  • 'The Voice' Season 9 Recap and Review: And The Winner Is...

It's all boiled down to this... The Voice season 9 crowned a winner on Tuesday night (Dec. 15). The race was between Jordan Smith, Emily Ann Roberts, Barrett Baber and Jeffery Austin. But, who was to take home the big trophy? Before you could get to the big moment, there was two hours of filler that had to happen. • 'The Voice' Season 9 Recap, Review: Top 10 Perform as Madi Davis Rises, Braiden Sunshine Falls

The Voice's top 10 finalists performed on Monday night (Nov. 30), and after a few live playoff weeks of middling performances, there was a slight resurgence this week. People who had previously faltered rebounded thanks to smart song choices and a renewed sense of confidence.
  • 'The Voice' Season 9 Recap, Review: Top 11 Sing, Fail to Connect as Jeffery, Emily Ann Shine

The Voice's ninth season mixed up the elimination order, giving us a top 11 this week. The new format, which allows more singers more time on the show, also allows for more mediocre artists to squeak through for a lot longer. There was a lot of good here, but you had to listen to a lot of crap first to get to it.
  • 'The Voice' Season 9 Recap, Review: Teams Cut in Half in Brutal Elimination Results

There was a major bloodbath on The Voice on Wednesday night (Nov. 11). This week, 24 singers performed, but for week two of the live playoffs, there are only 12 performance slots. Yes, the show cut its field properly in half. Previously, letting two of five singers go was painful but not a punch to the gut. This season, with the new comeback artist twist, this is just brutal.
  • 'The Voice' Season 9 Recap, Review: Live Shows Start with Underwhelming Turns and a Twist

So, this is the live shows on The Voice, huh? On Monday night (Nov. 9), season 9 kicked off its longest portion with Adam Levine's and Gwen Stefani's teams. And while there were little glimpses into the potential of this year's pack, overall, this was a very underwhelming evening.
