    Following Juvenile and Manne Fresh’s announcement of a collaborative album with Lil Wayne, fans were overjoyed with the possibility of a Hot Boys reunion and album. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like that will come to fruition. Turk, a former member of the New Orleans rap group, addressed the recent news with little enthusiasm.

    Over the last year, Cash Money Records has been in dire financial straits, which has been ever apparent in the frustrations voiced by its artists, especially its marquee artist Lil Wayne. In an attempt for former Hot Boys rapper Young Turk to get payment in full for royalties due, he sued Cash Money records for $1.3 million back in February and has now settled the lawsuit.

    Lil Wayne made major headlines today when a video emerged of him announcing an undisclosed deal with Jay Z. With the moves behind the scenes starting to crystallize, Weezy has still been stamping his name on various remixes, freestyles and features in 2015 as his much-anticipated album Tha Carter V remains in legal purgatory as a result of his $51 million lawsuit with Birdman's Cash Money Records. On Friday, the "Glory" rapper shared two freestyles over tracks from French Montana's "Off The Rip" and Bankroll Fresh's "Hot Boy." Now that "Hot Boy" freestyle has been finished with an official remix featuring former Cash Money Records running mates Juvenile and Turk.

    Former Hot Boys member and Cash Money label resident Turk was one of many to file a lawsuit against the New Orleans hip-hop imprint, but Bryan "Birdman" Williams and associates apparently didn't respond to the charges. Now Turk has filed a motion of default against the record label as it failed to reply within the legally required 21 days.

    Jas Prince is surprised if you're surprised that Birdman and Cash Money Records are under fire from a bevy of lawsuits nowadays. After all, Prince first brought lawsuit alleging shady business practices from the hip-hop label during 2012. Jas helped sign Drake to his contract with Young Money (under the Cash Money label) and claimed years ago that Birdman and company refused to make details of how much they earned from Drake public, and that Prince hadn't been paid accordingly.
