Nintendo's Classic Video Game Series 'Legend of Zelda' Travels to Nashville Symphony and Chorus at Schermerhorn Center
For a more youthful readership, perhaps, the Nashville Symphony and Chorus is getting nostalgic — reliving the exciting adventures in The Legend of Zelda, one of the classic video games live at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center.
On Wednesday, Jan. 21, the Nashville Symphony and members from the Nashville Symphony Chorus bring a new, multimedia experience to a classic music center. New videos and original favorites will be projected in HD on giant screens as the Symphony performs the music live.
This, however, may not be the freshest idea — many symphonies and choruses around the globe perform live to projections of classic movies and other forms of multimedia.
Recently, the Houston Symphony performed beneath a suspended projection screen while J.J. Abrams's bold, new interpretation of the iconic Star Trek played above them. The Chicago Symphony Orchestra, too, announced more live films with live music for 2015.
