Elton John attended Derek Draper's funeral on Friday, February 2, and he sparked health concerns when he assisted himself using a walking stick while wearing a medical boot.

A month after Derek died at the age of 56 following a grueling battle with COVID-19, his family held a funeral attended by several stars who wanted to support Kate Garraway and their family after the loss. One of the celebrities in attendance was John, who also performed his hit song "Skyline Pigeon" before the service ended.

However, the 76-year-old "Rocket Man" singer also sparked health concerns as fans noticed he seemingly injured himself before the funeral.

Elton John's Mobility Problems Explored

In the images posted online, John can be seen supporting himself using his cane. He also held people's hands several times, but it is worth noting that he did not get more support beyond his walking stick.

John attended the funeral service at St. Mary the Virgin Church in London, and his appearance was expected since he is friends with Garraway and her late husband.

"I think Elton has been a huge friend to me," Garraway said of their friendship in the past. "I always feel like it's a bit arrogant to say he's a friend of mine, because... he's Elton! But he's been a massive friend, and he had a friend that was very sick in the US when Derek got sick."

John's representative has yet to confirm what happened to the musician. However, it was not the first time he used a cane.

He used the same assistance in 2021 when he exited The One Show studio in London with Ed Sheeran. He also had a cane when he accepted an award from then-Prince Charles as a member of the Order of the Companions of Honour for services to Music and to Charity.

The latter marked his first appearance after undergoing hip surgery.

John's 2021 medical issues also led him to cancel several concerts. He also stayed at home and received treatment after another awkward fall that required surgery.
