Kanye West has been hailed as a fashion guru and style icon by many in the past decade. The man who gave birth to Yeezy and his fashion-forward mind certainly merited that title at the time.
However, things changed and as many's perceptions toward the rapper shifted, his fashion decisions and choices in life also declined in quality. Now, Kanye West is being relentlessly dragged for being responsible for his wife Bianca Censori's fashion.
Kanye West Style Icon No More
As time goes by, many fashion designers and industry figures lost confidence and trust in Kanye's vision and fashion style.
In the past few months, he has stepped out into public wearing outrageous body armor, while her wife has been subjected to online ridicule and humiliation for wearing nothing only but a thong, a pillow to conceal her genitalia, and even mimicking her ex-wife Kim Kardashian's looks.
Sources claimed that Kanye West is responsible for styling her wife and has complete command of what she wears.
Meanwhile, fashion experts shared with The Mirror if they still think Kanye's fashion would still be seen in runways.
"Gone are the days that Kanye West is considered a style icon," Fashion expert Mel Wilmshurst told the outlet. "In his Yeezy era, Kanye became a household name in streetwear, with brands rushing to imitate his latest collections. Now, in a world of cancel culture, and with his unpredictability, it wouldn't be worth the risk for a brand to align directly with him and Bianca."
Wilmshurst also commented that if there were any similarities or synergies between West and Censori's fashion and during fashion weeks, brands would "likely to quickly omit any claims" to avoid fallout from being associated with them.
No More Kanye West, Bianca Censori Fashion Replicas
Meanwhile, Fashion expert Fausta Urte Geigaite told The Mirror that the public would not be seeing "direct replicas" of Kanye and Bianca's looks at the New York Fashion Week but people could see similarities.
"When we talk about influential figures like Kanye West and Bianca Censori, we're delving into a realm where fashion becomes an avant-garde statement," Geigaite shared. "Their choices are often seen as bizarre or unconventional, but in the fashion world, they're a goldmine of inspiration. Designers are always seeking to break the mold, and figures like Kanye and Bianca provide a fresh perspective."
