Speculation is running wild among devoted fans of Taylor Swift about a potential appearance with boyfriend Travis Kelce at the upcoming Met Gala.

Despite reports that the couple have been invited to the exclusive annual event, there are no hints of a joint red-carpet debut. The gala will be held on Monday, May 6, 2024, three days before Swift's Eras Tour restarts in Paris.

Kelce is not required to attend the NFL training camp until July 2024; his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, are the defending Super Bowl champions.

"I have absolutely convinced myself that Taylor and Travis are going to the Met Gala together and I refuse to be wrong about it," one person wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Another posted, "Travis and Taylor at the Met Gala??? I'd die."

Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce Attending the Met Gala 2024?

According to an insider close to Kelce's camp, the couple had secured a spot on the prestigious guest list for the gala event, The Sun reports.

Their focus remains on relishing the upcoming weeks together before diving into another highly demanding phase of Swift's tour, the source emphasized.

The source revealed to the outlet, "They are loving to just relax, spend time together, and stay at Taylor's residencies to just enjoy being together and get a well-deserved rest."

"It's that time of year where both are off and they like not to attract any attention, to not be going to so many public events, and just to stay in their 'bubble.'"

"They have been invited to tons of public events in the last few weeks but they declined them. The Met Gala is a massive event but the plan is to not go as they want to enjoy the maximum time they have before the start of the Euro tour."

According to the insider, Swift and Kelce are looking to avoid the limelight during the upcoming European portion of the Eras tour, which is expected to be demanding.
