The momemt her eleventh studio album, a double album called The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology (TTPD) dropped, Taylor Swift started shattering records once more.

Just nine hours after its release, the 34-year-old Grammy winner's most recent work of love became the biggest launch for a 2024 album on Spotify, surpassing Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter, a country album.

Around 300.41 million official on-demand streams of Beyonce's album were obtained within its first full week of availability. At about the same time, the recently released album by Anti-Hero achieved number one on iTunes in more than 60 countries.

Among its numerous accomplishments, TTPD made history by being the first album to have every song debut in the top 25 on US Apple Music. Fortnight, the album's opening single featuring rapper Post Malone, arrived at the number one spot.

After hitting the top of Apple Music in nine hours in the US, the UK, and 33 other countries, Fortnight is expected to become her single with the most number ones.

It should come as no surprise that TTPD, the official album with the highest sales in the US for 2024, also holds the record for the biggest debut on Amazon Music.

In the first week in the US, two million copies are expected to be sold. Fortnight, Florida has been the most streamed song on Spotify thus far!So Long London and Down Bad.

According to Deadline on Friday, TTPD has broken even another milestone by being the most-streamed album on Spotify in a single day with over 200 million plays.

At the time of their releases, her prior albums Midnights (2023) and 1989 (Taylor's Version) both broke the same record. Rolling Stone gave Swift's most recent album a perfect score of 100, and reviews of it have been overwhelmingly positive.

This is not to say there are no negative reviews of the album though - in fact there are several. But the numbers are saying these reviews mean none to her prowess.

The negative reviews are also met with backlash from Swifties.

If the album debuts at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, she would likely break a number of other records upon its release in different countries, such as tying Jay-Z for the most #1 albums for a solo artist with 14.

The double album was an unprecedented surprise. Swifties expected her release to have some surprises, but not this.

Sharing the double album was called The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology, the genius singer wrote: "It's a 2am surprise: The Tortured Poets Department is a secret DOUBLE album. 'I'd written so much tortured poetry in the past 2 years and wanted to share it all with you, so here's the second installment of TTPD: The Anthology. 15 extra songs. And now the story isn't mine anymore... it's all yours."
