Grammy-winning singer Laufey took the world by storm in 2023 when she released her sophomore album, Bewitched. Since then, she started gaining significant attention in the United States despite being from Reykjavík, Iceland.
Now, Laufey turns 25.

Born Laufey Lín Bing Jónsdóttir on Apr. 23, 1999, Laufey's father is Icelandic while her mother is Chinese, hence, her Asian ancestry.
It was her mother that inspired her to pursue music because she was a violin teacher at the Central Conservatory of Music in China.
At the tender age of four, Laufey learned to play the piano and cello at the age of eight. She pursued music for college and graduated from the Reykjavik College of Music, spending her time growing up between the capital of Iceland and Washington, D.C..
As a music prodigy, Laufey became a cello soloist at the age of 15 at the Iceland Symphony orchestra, and she became a finalist on Island Got Talent, and a semi-finalist on The Voice Iceland.
In 2021, she graduated at the Berklee College of Music with a presidential scholarship and has since resided in Los Angeles in 2023.
Laufey released her debut album, Everything I Know About, in 2022 and reached No. 3 on Billboard's Top Jazz Albums. It was with her album, Bewitched, that catapulted Laufey to the mainstream scene. The album earned Laufey her first Grammy nomination and eventual Grammy Award for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.
Bewitched reached No. 1 on Billboard's Jazz Albums, No. 5 on Independent Albums, and No. 23 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

Laufey Now 2024: The Goddess Tour in Asia, Australia
On Apr. 22, 2024, Laufey announced that she is embarking on a tour in Australia and Asia starting August 2024 to November 2024.
"I'm bringing The Goddess Tour to Asia & Australia I can't wait for these shows! Presale tickets for my Australia dates will be available on Wednesday, April 24th at 9am local time, you can sign up now for the presale link in my bio. Australia, all tickets will be on sale Friday, April 26 at 10am local. Asia, stay tuned for more details very soon xx," she wrote on Instagram.
The upcoming tour is in support of Laufey's Grammy-winning record Bewitched, which will soon have a deluxe version called The Goddess Version.
The new song was already previewed by the title track Goddess, with a music video directed by Oscar-nominated writer-director Celine Song.
