Now that Azealia Banks is free from her record label, the new music just keeps coming. After releasing her first independent single "Heavy Metal and Reflective" in July, yesterday (Sept. 22) the "212" rapper released her second track from her debut album Broke With Expensive Taste, the throwback club anthem "Chasing Time."

Though Banks is widely best known for her sleek rapping skills, the femcee also shows off her singing voice in "Chasing Time," a smoky, raspy and relaxed alto. Banks, like Nicki Minaj, tackles her own hook all set to a party-friendly beat.

"Chasing Time" is all about the heavy drums and throwback '90s disco synth vibes. The distinguishable boppy beat feels straight out of 1996, with sparkling tones overtaking the music.

When Banks isn't singing along and the grooving beat isn't at the forefront, she's showing off her deep rapping skills as artfully as ever over the music. With this and "Heavy Metal and Reflective" in her arsenal, it looks like Banks may finally be on her way to hip-hop superstardom, which she surely feels she deserves.

"Chasing Times" is another track off Banks' forthcoming debut album Broke With Expensive Taste. The album has yet to receive an official release date, but Banks' SoundCloud account promises that the album is, in fact, "upcoming."
