Fans of now-defunct daytime shows Guiding Light and One Life to Live will no doubt remember Daytime Emmy-nominated Crystal Hunt for her work on both. The soap star was arrested last December for an altercation at a West Hollywood bar that resulted in her throwing a pint glass at another woman's face. The violent altercation at Pearl's Liquid Bar ended with the actress facing a felony assault with a deadly weapon charge, and she recently pled no-contest, resulting in a three-year probation sentence.

According to Hunt's attorney, the victim of the crime was completely wasted and had provoked his client. Hunt reportedly had asked security to remove the other woman, who continued instigating a fight until the actress finally cracked. Hunt was supposedly not drinking and intended to throw her water in the victim's face, but her glass slipped, accidentally. Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Kathryn Solorzano sentenced Hunt to three years formal probation as well as 45 days of Caltrans work.

While Hunt has been away from soaps since 2012, she is scheduled to be a part of the new series Queens of Dramawhich will begin airing on POP next year.

Queens is being promoted as a docu-series that will follow high-profile soap veterans who try and put together and sell a new soap pilot to a network. If the premise works, fans would get to watch some of their old favorites in action before being handed a new soap to immerse themselves in.

Should the violent altercation have caused Hunt to be fired from Queens of Drama? Or do you think she didn't mean to slam the glass in the other woman's face and that it really was an accident? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
