Last month, Troy Ave was accused of physically attacking iLoveMakonnen during a New York City performance and now the Hustle Gang rapper wants to clear his name. During a recent interview, he said there's no beef between the two and compared himself to Drake.

Troy Ave recently stopped by Hot 97 to chop it up with Ebro and the gang. While in the hot seat, Troy brushed his Makonnen beef off as Twitter nonsense, as noted by XXL.

"Man that ish was all Twitter stuff. Man you know, everything is overhyped now," he said.

Footage hit the net of iLoveMakonnen getting physically attacked during a performance at S.O.B.'s and word began to spread that Troy Ave was in on it. The two had recently engaged in a Twitter feud. Many speculated that the fan that punched the "I Don't Sell Molly No More" was an affiliate of Troy Ave, which seems plausible considering some of his tweets.

"Jus snow dat #we gon see about thum comments when we see u fat b#tch !," he said following a tweet from Makonnen.

He promptly denied any involvement and likened himself to Drizzy.

"Nah. I mean, I mean a lot to my city. I know a whole bunch of people that be around a lot of people. It's like if somebody is saying something about Drake, and you're walking around the streets of Toronto, you don't know who's gonna feel a way about it."

Troy and Makonnen's supposed beef all stems from a tweet the Atlanta rhymer sent out in response to the overload of "Tuesday" remixes.

"That's the worst, fake beats and sh-t, lord! Let it go!," he tweeted around the time Troy Ave released his spin on the record.
