Although they have a fan-base made of guys and girls who literally cry in their presence and who would do anything to date one of them, the One Direction members admit that they still have insecurities when it comes to the world of romance. During an appearance on A Current Affair as part of their promotion in Australia, the 1D boys said they are just like any other boy their age.

"I think that people imagine that if you're in a band or something, you kind of lose all normal things," Harry Styles said in the interview. "But I think... we still have every insecurity that ever 19, 20, 21-year-old boy has."

At this point, a female fan in the crowd yelled, "Don't be insecure, we love you!"

Styles quipped, "Okay, that solves it then."

The band also talked about their dynamic after four albums together.

"The whole relationship between the band is a natural relationship," Zayne Malik said. "We try to keep it as normal as we can. And if we didn't have arguments about some things, that wouldn't be that normal. So we tell each other when we have problems with each other, and we try to sort it out, and we normally sort it out."

Other topics discussed include the "boy band bubble" and whether they have a strategy to deal with the pace they've set, the natural evolution of their songwriting, what they do in their time off, how they deal with homesickness, and how Niall Horan ended up with a Barack Obama statue in his backyard, the details of their new tour, and more.

They also answered questions from fans and performed two new songs, "Steal My Girl" and "Night Changes."

The band are fresh off the release of their latest album FOUR. The band also just broke a record, becoming the first group to ever have its first four albums debut at No. 1 on Billboard.
