It seems like the majority of the DJ world is down in Australia, playing a few shows in between posing with koalas and lions at the zoo. That includes Diplo and Skrillex who are both on the Stereosonic Australia tour, playing sets separately. Diplo and Skrillex went on Triple J in Australia to discuss Jack Ü, new music and how everything has evolved for them.

As Diplo normally does with these interviews, he likes to give information about what he is working on, so we get some juicy details on some upcoming Jack Ü collabs in the works. They are working with Justin Bieber, though it will not be considered a Jack Ü track, 2 Chainz, AlunaGeorge, Usher, New Orleans bounce artist, Fly Boy Keno and Jamaican artist Tarantula.

Diplo reveals what happened to the first collab between him and Skrillex, "Amplifire," which was played out a few times by Skrillex and included in a radio mix, but never saw the light of day. According to Diplo it was a demo for Skrillex's Bangarang EP, but it didn't make the cut.

The duo also talk playing shows, including their upcoming New Years Eve takeover of Madison Square Garden. It will be their biggest solo event yet, having stuck to low key gigs on the side, like a house party in Texas, a bar mitzvah and a set at Soulcycle in Los Angeles.

The duo has been doing a ton of radio and TV appearances in support of Jack Ü and their upcoming music and shows. They tentatively have a mixtape that should be released before the end of the year.

At the end of the interview it is announced that Diplo & Skrillex will be doing a DJ mix on Triple J mix up with Nina Las Vegas tomorrow night. Make sure you are tuned in for that or be ready to stream the rebroadcast.
