Fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are aware Yolanda Foster has battled Lyme Disease for the last three years. She went undiagnosed for an entire year, and that seems to have made making a full recovery difficult. Foster seemed to be doing well, and in episodes of the hit Bravo show that are currently airing, the reality star seems to be doing well. Unfortunately, in December she suffered a setback that has really knocked her down a few pegs. Foster took to her Bravo blog to address her fans with a sad update.

"Most of you know I have been battling Lyme disease for the past three years," she wrote. "I wasted the first year trying to get diagnosed and spent the next two trying to find a cure. I have gone from the conventional long-term antibiotics to about every holistic protocol there is to offer. Unfortunately, I was only able to get to about a 60% recovery until I relapsed in early December and have not been able to find my way back. I have lost the ability to read, write, or even watch TV, because I can't process information or any stimulation for that matter. It feels like someone came in and confiscated my brain and tied my hands behind my back to just watch and see life go by without me participating in it."

No matter what we have seen Foster battling onscreen, she is always positive and this medical crisis has been met with the same kind of energy. Rather than wallowing in misery, the reality star has actively been looking for holistic methods of treatment or anything else that might not help only herself, but also her fellow "Lymies" who are also suffering.

Foster is all about family, and while she may have recently spent several days in the hospital, her Instagram account was loaded with photos of visiting family and friends who are helping her get through this tough time. While it is sad to see her struggling, she is exactly the kind of force that might just help advance Lyme Disease treatment in one way or another, don't you think?
