Is Jennifer Aniston the most snubbed person to walk away without an Oscar nomination this year? Well, truth be told, most of us cannot be too sure because while she has garnered critical acclaim for her role as a chronic pain sufferer in Cake, it has not actually hit theaters yet, so most of us have yet to actually see it. She has scooped up leading actress nominations at the SAGs and the Golden Globes, though, so that has to count for something, right?

What we do know for certain is that in promoting her work these last few months what has emerged is a more Zen Aniston, so when she sat down to discuss everything with Ellen DeGeneres Monday, Jan. 19, she was quite cool.

"I'm the No. 1 snubbed! That's the silver lining, right? It hasn't even come out. That's the crazy thing! We're so shocked and amazed that we have had this much love for a movie that hasn't even been released yet. What's been so incredible is the amount of people that have come out to me who are suffering with chronic pain and in this same situation," she spilled to DeGeneres.

Aniston stars in Cake as a woman who is treating her chronic pain with a variety of medications and loses a member of her support group when the fellow sufferer commits suicide: "It's unbelievable how much positivity it's bringing to those who are kind of silently suffering. It's a beautiful, hopeful movie."

Do you think that in saying that she was the No. 1 to be snubbed was a bit of a stretch? Now that American Sniper has officially landed in theaters, many would say Clint Eastwood was overlooked for not grabbing a nomination as Best Director. It is all so subjective, but just to even mention Aniston's name as a potential Oscar nominee is pretty amazing, don't you think?
