In 2013, AWOLNATION made major waves on the Billboard Hot 100 by spending 56 weeks on the chart with the hard-hitting single "Sail." And now, Aaron Bruno is back with a grooving new single and a new album for the spring. Today (Jan. 26), AWOLNATION dropped the official music video for "Hollow Moon (Bad Wolf)" and announced the tracklist and album cover for the new record Run.
Run is set for release on March 17 via Red Bull Records. The album is the follow-up to AWOLNATION's debut album Megalithic Symphony, which dropped in March 2011.
Run is being led by single "Hollow Moon (Bad Wolf)," which was released today alongside a music video in conjunction with the album announcement.
"Hollow Moon (Bad Wolf)" retains the chaotic energy and Bruno's intense, screaming vocals of AWOLNATION's alternative debut album while bringing in a new sense of pop melody. While the verses maintain some restrained emotion, the song really kicks it into gear in the chorus, with a driving explosion of guitars and a riff that harkens back to the driving pop of yore.
The accompanying music video features Bruno walking alongside a line of people, who stand emotionless until the song explodes and everyone breaks out into a flurry of twitchy dancing.
