It has been four months since Brian Williams was suspended from anchoring NBC Nightly News and still there is no solid decision on his future with the network. Earlier this year, Williams was caught "misremembering" his own war-time reporting and the network decided to make him sit out six months without pay while they scrambled to reassure the public that their reporters are indeed credible. While it still seems rather unlikely that Williams would reclaim his old seat anchoring the competitive evening news, NBC is still looking for a way to keep him in-house.

NBC News Chief Andy Lack, also one of Williams biggest supporters, is said to be scrambling and asking staffers for creative ways to keep the fallen anchor at the network.

According to an exclusive report by CNN Money, "The embattled NBC Nightly News anchor has taken part in negotiations with the network for the past several weeks, and it is still unclear whether he will keep his job. According to CNN, a number of sources believe that Williams may leave the network after reaching a financial settlement, while another option being discussed recently is for Williams to stay at the network, even if he vacates the anchor chair," explains an insider.

Can you imagine him ever being in charge of NBC Nightly News again, especially after Lester Holt has done a great job of holding down the fort? If the network actually dreams up a new position for Williams, do you think that he would even accept it? Sources have said in the past that his arrogance precedes him so is it even likely that he will accept anything less than the prized anchor seat? Will Williams stay with the network in any capacity?
