The June 2 Lil Wayne tour bus shooting now seems to be a part of a grander scheme. The indictment of the charged shooter, Jimmy Winfrey, now names Tunechi's former associates (and mentor) Young Thug and Birdman as conspiring to kill the Free Weezy Album rapper, while Winfrey looked to gain street cred with the infamous Bloods gang.

According to a report from the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Young Thug (real name: Jeffery Lamar Williams) and Birdman (real name: Bryan Williams) are also allegedly members of the Bloods and were involved in a RICO conspiracy to kill Lil Wayne (real name: Dwayne Carter). Wayne is also a reported member of the Bloods.

However, despite $20,000 in damages to the tour bus he was on, neither Lil Wayne nor the other dozen people on the tour bus were injured. On June 25, Winfrey was indicted on six charges included possession of a firearm by a felon, terroristic threats and acts and criminal gang activity. Neither Birdman nor Young Thug have been charged in connection to the June 2 shooting, but Thug was arrested earlier this week for "terroristic threats."

The new allegations that Birdman and Young Thug have conspired to murder Lil Wayne is just the latest incident in escalating tensions between the former Young Money Cash Money associates. Young Thug has been taunting Weezy for months, first attempting to name his new album Carter 6 and then he threatened to release his new mixtape Slime Season on the same day as Wayne's hotly anticipated Free Weezy Album.

Birman also confronted Wayne at a show earlier this week, throwing a drink in his former mentee's face.
