Future is absolutely everywhere. From his collaboration album with Drake, to his many hit songs, he simply cannot be escaped. Although he has been out for a couple of years now, 2015 has been by far the biggest year in Future's blossoming career. His studio album Dirty Sprite 2, released July 17, 2015, cemented Future's position at the top of the heap of new, up-and-coming rappers. The album spawned hits like "F**k Up Some Commas" and "Where Ya At." Further, Future received acclaim from a number of critics and other artists, giving him the credibility he needed to remain at the top of his game. However, Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz does not feel that Future's rise is without precedent.

In 2012, he was nearly as omnipresent, with his album Based On a T.R.U. Story reaching number one on the Billboard 200, and spawning numerous hit singles including "No Lie," "Birthday Song," and "I'm Different," all of which happen to appear in sequential order on the album.

2 Chainz stopped by the Rap Radar Podcast to share his feelings about the fellow Atlanta star, as well as his own career goals and maintenance routine. Regarding his time since his career peak in 2012, he said, "I never took a vacation yet since all that. I still haven't been on vacation even when we went to Paris. I brought my family to Paris and then I had a studio session with 'Ye. So it was just like in Atlanta. As soon as they went to sleep, I went to the studio. I don't believe in vacations, I believe in paycations."

Regarding Future's year, 2 Chainz said, "It's that glow. It's that feeling. It's literally feeling like God put his hand on you. And for me, I can't say I wasn't able to enjoy it." However, hopefully, given his work ethic, 2 Chainz is poised for a comeback, and another chance to soak up the limelight he missed in 2012.
