Puddle of Mudd's lead singer Wes Scantlin has reportedly been arrested, yet again, this time for drug possession during a routine traffic stop.

According to TMZ, Scantlin was at first pulled over, simply for expired registration tags, but when running his information, police discovered an outstanding warrant for his arrest. An unspecified controlled substance was then discovered by police upon searching the vehicle, resulting in a misdemeanor drug charge. The troubled frontman spent a few hours in jail before being bailed out for a whopping $51,000.

Unfortunately, this is not Scantlin's first time around the rodeo, with his legal troubles beginning January when he was arrested for taking a joyride on a luggage carousel at the Denver airport. The band was in the city at the time for a show and a fan, not the band, later bailed him out of jail.

According to Rolling Stone, he was then apprehended in Minnesota in July for blowing a deadly .310 breathalyzer after a high-speed police chase, resulting in charges of DUI and fleeing police custody. He was again arrested only a month after for driving under the influence as well as marijuana possession.

Puddle of Mudd made their first splash with breakout single "She Hates Me," which appears on their sophomore 2001 studio album, Come Clean. The band's most recent studio album was 2011's re:(disc)overed, which is their sixth overall studio album consisting entirely of cover songs.

The post-grunge outfit will soon head out on a UK tour, the dates of which were just recently announced, although the band may have to put their plans on hold if Scantlin's legal troubles interfere with the scheduled dates.
