On what would have been her 23rd birthday (March 4), Bobbi Kristina Brown’s exact cause of death was finally revealed. The daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown was found lying face down in a bathtub on Jan. 31, 2015, and she passed away six months later. Now, her father Bobby Brown is speaking out.

According toE!, the Fulton Country Medical Examiner revealed that her exact cause of death was Lobar pneumonia, which resulted from Hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy. In layman’s terms, ischemic encephalopathy is a combination of water immersion and intoxication from mixed substances. It is a type of brain damage that is directly related to oxygen loss.

The report detailed the drugs found in her system, including, “marijuana, alcohol, benzoylecgonine, benzodiazepines and morphine.” Benzoylecgonine is a substance found in cocaine and benzodiazepines are used to temper anxiety.

And Brown is not happy with the release of the autopsy results.

"First and foremost, 23 years ago today, Bobbi Kristina was born. Krissy will always live in my heart and soul. I love my baby girl," Brown said in a statement released to E! News. "For news affiliates to seek and obtain my daughter's autopsy report, before anyone has been brought to justice for her death is mind blowing to me. Please pray for my family."

Bobby Brown is reportedly still struggling with substance abuse following the death of his ex-wife Houston and daughter Bobbi Kristina and recently entered rehab in order to treat his addictions. The Boombox revealed that his attorney did not deny that Brown is doing a stint in rehab, but did not release the type of treatment that the 47-year-old was receiving in the facility.
