Watch out Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez... another former Disney star is looking to take center stage this summer. After months of anticipation from the music world, Hilary Duff is rearing to make a comeback. Yesterday (June 26), the former Lizzie McGuire star posted a musical snippet on her Instagram page, teasing an infectious beat for what is presumed to be new music.

The short teaser clip features a sunny, peppy guitar that just oozes of summertime bliss. The short riffs (which also sound like the "Strum" ringtone on iPhones) are pure happiness, recalling Duff's earlier forays into music at Hollywood Records.

Deep in the background of the video, which visually focuses on the top part of a guitar and an amp, Duff can be heard singing in the background. She's far too low in the mix to discern what exactly she's singing, but it is identifiable that she keeps belting out the pop tune even when the guitars pause for a beat.

Hilary Duff has been hard at work in the studio in recent months after taking a seven year break from the music industry. She's been working with Ed Sheeran and the Icona Pop track "Boom Clap" was originally intended for Duff.

It's been a minute since Duff has released new material. Her last studio album, Dignity, was released in March 2007. And really, who can forget the beautiful pop nugget that was "So Yesterday?"
