Morrissey's former security guard has filed a lawsuit against the singer, TMZ reports. Allegedly, he hired Bradley Steyn to serve as his muscle following a show in San Jose from a few months back where fans rushed the stage to get a feel of the legendary Smiths lyricist and vocalist. But now, Steyn's suit claims he was hired just to hurt a fan the musician wasn't too fond of.

Stating that Morrissey had an aversion towards the man who ran the fan website Morrissey-solo.com because he felt it intruded on his personal life, Steyn's suit says that the singer asked if the fan "could get hurt." He also asserts that Morrissey's road manager inquired if there was a way the fan "could be gotten rid of."

According to the suit, Steyn said no to the questions, which could very well have been the reason for his firing the next day.

The gossip site reportedly reached out to Morrissey for some comments but have not been able to get in contact as of yet. The story was also picked up by Pitchfork.

As previously indicated, the reason for Steyn being hired by Morrissey was a result of a chaotic turn of events during one of the singer's concerts back in May. While performing "One Day Goodbye Will Be Farewell" in San Jose, fans from the crowd continuously rushed the stage. And while the first few were merely hugs and handshakes, the one that caused Morrissey to leave the stage was a bit more intense.
