DMX's fiancée Desiree Lindstrom still has not gotten over the rapper yet.

Nearly a year after DMX's untimely death, Lindstrom spoke candidly about not being able to move on as she continuously suffers from heartbreak and sadness day by day.

In a new interview on the "It's Tricky with Raquel Harper" podcast, Lindstrom admitted that she still has not moved on after the rapper's death.

"It's really hard. I just take it minute by minute. Some people say you could take it day by day, but it's second by second. My life changed so fast [in] the blink of an eye," she said.

Though it is hard for her to cope with the changes in her life after losing DMX, she reportedly urged herself to focus on their 5-year-old son, Exodus. She also expressed her desire to become a better mother for him by doing her best in school to be an esthetician.

Per Lindstrom, she is trusting in God through the process. But in the end, she still has to force herself to keep going and moving for her and DMX's child - who continues to battle stage 3 kidney disease.

DMX's Fiancee Still Has Hope Because of Son

Due to Exodus' positive outlook in life despite his health issue, she reportedly feels more secure and inspired to go further without DMX.

"So when I do shed a tear, he'll be like, 'Mommy, are you okay? And I'll say, 'You just did something that was like your father.' And he's like, 'Mommy, it's okay, Daddy's with God, he's watching over us. He's our angel.' I just thank God that he gave me a son that is like that. He's just like his dad," she said, as quoted by People.

In April, DMX was rushed to a hospital following a heart attack while staying at his home in White Plains. At that time, a news outlet revealed that his overdose led to a heart issue. Unfortunately, he arrived at a medical facility with limited brain function due to oxygen deprivation.

The rapper had already reached a vegetative state, and his doctors had already advised his family to prepare as he might not make it.

Unfortunately, his one-week stay inside the intensive care unit did not save him. Medical staff also performed several tests to find a way to revive him, but DMX succumbed after a week.
