Two of the most prominent artists in the music industry are expected to drop their albums this year as Post Malone's manager confirmed a possible record drop next month and Playboi Carti, as revealed in an interview.
In early reports, the "Rockstar" singer's longtime manager, Dre London, took to Instagram to share a "Monday Motivation" video where he hinted at Malone's music release.
In the caption, the manager wrote, "@postmalone album coming next month! What u want in life results or excuses!! #MondayMotivation."
The album, titled "Twelve Carat Toothache," has not been confirmed by the singer himself, but fans expect him to perform new material at several festivals this summer, like the Lyrical Lemonade's Summer Smash Festival and Hangout Festival.
London first hinted at the record's completion back in January. He expressed his frustration toward Republic Records for allegedly delaying the album.
On the other hand, Playboi Carti gave his fans insight into his upcoming record in a rare interview with XXL Magazine.
The rapper said he would be tackling the topics of "Love, Sex, and Drugs" on his upcoming record.
He also revealed one of his most unexpected inspirations for rapping, saying he's writing music related to his mental health issues as he wanted to go to rehab for bipolar disorder.
Revealing his intention of creating music, Carti clarified he's not using it to make money but rather for a legacy that would last forever.
As of this writing, neither of the two artists has confirmed an official release date and cover art for their albums.
