To commemorate two significant moments in her career, Mariah Carey took to Instagram Live on Tuesday for 20 minutes. She had a weird way of celebrating though - getting things that are not meant to get wet, wet.
The 53-year-old singer of "We Belong Together" sat in a rose gold jacuzzi while conversing with some of her 10.7 million Twitter fans. This is not supposed to be eyebrow-raising, since she truly has great things to share and celebrate. However, she was in the tub full of water, in a rose gold gown.
The fancy dress was soaked deep into the water, but Carey seemed unbothered.
She posted the full video to her account and wrote in the caption: 'IG Live!!!! Celebrating The Emancipation of Mimi and Big Energy Remix with the lambily!!!'

Carey even had her full-on makeup. With her naturally curly blonde hair blow-dried into a bone-straight style, she looked as if she was meant to be in an awards show instead. Her glorious and shiny mane was parted in the middle, and then allowed to flow free. This made her looked immensely younger.
The singer, on the other hand, is able to get away with so much. After all, she's earned the right to do so.
In fact, she recently demonstrated how she was able to accidentally text Shawn Mendes and receive a cute responese, complete with heart emojis.
The singer detailed the funny exchange, complete with receipts!

She added that because of this wrong text, Shawn Mendes already knows about that joke.
In the text exchange, Carey wrote "Happy thanksgiving" alongside a leaf emoji, before realizing her mistake and adding, "Wrong Shawn. Sorry. Also, I do realize it is NOT Thanksgiving. Haha."
Either he truly got it, or he was too kind not to poke fun at the diva, but Mendes replied with, "hahahaha that's okay I figured it was an inside joke ️️."
