The wait is over for Yeah Yeah Yeahs' fans! After long nine years of musical drought, the upcoming album will arrive before the year ends.

The GRAMMY-nominated indie band has finally revealed its tracklist, release date, and gravity-bending cover art for its upcoming album, "Cool It Down."

Yeah Yeah Yeahs New Album' Cool It Down' Details

While fans of the New York Trio spent almost a decade waiting for the sequel of "Mosquito," they only have to wait until the end of September 2022 for the release of "Cool It Down."

"Hi! Feels so good to be BACK! A new record, we needed it and hope you do too ️‍ Writing these songs came with its fair share of chills, tears, and euphoria when the pain lifts and truth is revealed. Don't have to tell you how much we've been going through in the last nine years since our last record, because you've been going through it too, no shying away from the feels, or backing down from what's been gripping all of us these days," the band wrote on Instagram.

Per Yeah Yeah Yeahs' post, the album cover art, which Alex Prager crafted, "sums up" how the band has been feeling existentially.

"All that burning! High time to cool it down with us, your pals, YYYS, love is in every hook, note and cranny of this baby. Cant wait for it to be yours! Luv yyys," the statement says.

Aside from the blazing cover art, the band also released the official tracklist of their fifth studio album. Compared to its predecessors, "Cool It Down" has relatively fewer songs - with only eight songs, its ranks last among Yeah Yeah Yeahs' albums with the least amount of songs.

  2. 'Lovebomb'
  3. 'Wolf'
  4. 'Fleez'
