The world of music is still mourning the death of Taylor Hawkins even though he died months ago. However, the impact of his passing would continue, especially on his family members. More recently, his son, Shane Hawkins, made a big move for his late dad, and it's apparent where he got his music skills.

According to iHeart, the 16-year-old musician paid tribute to his father during a Fourth of July party in Laguna Beach.

Shane played drums with local band The Alive to do a cover of "My Hero" by Foo Fighters to honor the late legend.

The young musician got his drumming skills from his dad, and he's been using his talent to amaze other people since he was a kid.

Being a charismatic drummer himself, Taylor is proud of his son and even brought him to his shows countless times to perform with him.

Their last bonding on stage was in Los Angeles, California, with NHC, a few months before the musician died.
