Music fans were sent into a frenzy recently after two of the most iconic Kiwi artists hung out together and online users are asking them to collaborate for a song.

International singers from New Zealand, Lorde and Kimbra, took online to share photos of themselves laughing and having a good time together in an undisclosed location.

"These 2 Kiwi birds FINALLY got to hang for reals last night," the "Everybody Knows" songstress wrote on Instagram.

Following this, many fans took online to react to their photos and most of them are asking for a collaboration song.

"@kimbramusic and Lorde together is just the thing that I need. It's been a long time coming but finally, these legends are together at last. I say, a collab must happen," one wrote.

"LORDE AND KIMBRA TOGETHER TAKING PICTURES TOGETHER TOGETHER GIRLS COLLLAAAAAABBBBBB PLEASE," another one wrote.

The singers' recent hangout comes a few weeks after Lorde wrapped up the 42-date United Kingdom and European leg of her successful Solar Power tour.

In a mail subscription sent written by the "Mood Ring" songstress, Lorde said it took her a week to write the letter because she was processing the magical few months she had.

The singer then noted that her recent tour was one of the best seasons of her life.

"I cannot thank you enough for making these shows what they were. The way you jumped in the air as a group, every single show, even when you had seats hitting the backs of your knees," she added.

The Solar Power tour ended at a festival in Stockholm, Sweden. Lorde shared that her band played around 8:30 p.m. and the sun was still "glowing gold."

Without explicitly revealing her plans, the singer teased her fans about a possible project by writing, "So happy, there's still more to come."

On the other hand, Kimbra will be releasing her fourth studio album later this year. Her forthcoming record is a follow-up to her successful 2018 LP "Primal Heart."

According to Best Before, her new album will be her first record without major labels as she transitioned into becoming an independent artist with the help of her co-producer Ryan Lott of Son Lux.

As of this writing, Lorde and Kimbra have not revealed whether they're collaborating on a project or not.
