Two-thirds of Migos, Quavo and Takeoff, are coming back with a brand new album, "Only Built For Infinity Links," set to be released on Oct. 7 via Quality Control/Motown.

Quavo teased fans with the album cover art for "Only Built For Infinity Links," which features him and Takeoff.

The start of the 39-second teaser showcases the American flag made out of chains, referencing the links mentioned in the title of their album, and ended with an infinity symbol with the words "it runs in the blood" written below. Fans were quick to react to Quavo's tweet, with varying comments. Some were pretty excited about the upcoming album, while others were less enthusiastic as it signaled the end of Migos as a trio.

Twitter Error

Some Twitter users called out the remaining members for naming the album "Only Built For Infinity Links," perhaps referencing Offset taking off solo.

What's On It

While Quavo and Takeoff are yet to announce the tracklist for the album, the pair have already been making music as a duo for a while now.

Earlier this year, they released "Hotel Lobby," under the moniker Unc & Phew, referencing their relationship, as Quavo and Takeoff are uncle and nephew, respectively.

The music video was reportedly an homage to "Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas" (1998).

Following that single, they also released "Big Stunna," featuring Birdman and "Us Vs. Them," featuring fellow Atlanta-based rapper Gucci Mane.

For Good?

According to GQ, Quavo said that the group was just pursuing solo careers to "establish themselves."

"I feel like every group member has to establish themselves. Their own body of work. If not, you start losing members." he said

The last album Migos released as a trio was in 2021, "Culture III," and prior to that, each of the members pursued solo endeavors.

Quavo with "Quavo Huncho," Takeoff with "The Last Rocket," and Offset's "Father of 4."

The solo project lasted a bit longer, it seems, because Offset continued releasing solo music like "Code" and "54321."

He is also planning to release his second solo album soon, he revealed in July.

The rocky relationship between Offset and Migos is one thing, filing a lawsuit against Quality Control is another.

According to reports, Offset is suing the record label for falsely claiming ownership of his solo works, when he had already bough the rights in 2021.

As of this writing, there is not definitive word whether the Migos have truly parted ways.
