Ahead of the event, fans spotted the rapper drape his jacket over a fan on a wheelchair, telling him, "This jacket, you make sure you hold it down, okay?"

Their short interaction had been captured from several angles, but everyone came to the same conclusion-the 47-year-old rapper had a heart of gold.

According to reports, Jacob Lemke, the fan Nelly gave his jacket to, was born with a rare, congenital disorder called Lesch-Nyhan syndrome or LNS.

According to the Medline Plus website, this condition occurs almost exclusively in males and it is a neurological and behavioral abnormality that causes the overproduction of uric acid. A person born with LNS would require a wheelchair, thus the fan in the video was seated in a wheelchair.

Lemke was accompanied by his friend and former teacher, Nate Salisbury, to the playoff cup for his 23rd birthday, reports say. They were seated at the VIP pit.

After his performance, Nelly was seen greeteing the fan and gaving him a hug, and as he walked away, he jokingly added, "next time, you're driving."

Lemke was evidently ecstatic by the rapper's greeting and gift as he grinned at Nelly.

According to TMZ, Nelly was in the area after his performance, taking pictures with fans and posing for the cameras when he spotted Lemke and Salisbury.

Apparently, the jacket Nelly gave the 23-year-old fan was a Charlotte Motor Speedway jacket that was custom-made. He wore it during his performance.

The rapper's kindness was a warm welcome, especially since Lemke's father recently passed away, reports added.

Before the event took place, Nelly performed an hour-long concert at the venue, performing some of his hits including "Dilemma, "Hot in Here," "Grillz," and more, reports say.

Nelly, born Cornell Iral Haynes Jr., rose to prominence following his debut studio album "Country Grammar" in 2000.
