Migos rapper Takeoff was fatally shot in a bowling alley in Houston, Texas, yesterday morning, Nov. 1, 2022.

Since then, the Hip hop community has been taken aback by the life lost because of Takeoff's passing.

Takeoff was part of the hip-hop duo, then famous trio, Migos, composed of Quavo and Offset. The latter recently left the group last month, sparking speculations about the trio's fallout in the past few weeks.

With Takeoff's passing, fans have been in unison asking - who killed Takeoff?

According to early reports obtained by TMZ, an altercation turned into a violent shootout that transpired at the 810 Billiards and Bowling in Houston, Texas.

Quavo, who was in the area, along with Takeoff, apparently got into a heated argument with someone from the other group who was also in the venue. (via Rolling Stone)

Houston Police District Sgt. Michael Arrington led the press conference yesterday, where they gave more context to the story that a witness provided to TMZ.

"A lot of people that were there fled the scene and did not stick around to give a statement," Arrington revealed.

As of this writing, Takeoff's suspect has not yet been found. The Houston PD is asking the public for any leads or information that could lead to finding Takeoff's shooter.

The rapper's label, Quality Control Music, confirmed that Takeoff's cause of death was caused by "senseless violence and a stray bullet." (via Billboard)

"It is with broken hearts and deep sadness that we mourn the loss of our beloved brother Kirsnick Khari Ball, known to the world as Takeoff," the statement reads. "Please respect his family and friends as we all continue to process this monumental loss."

A recent circulating tweet has also trapped everyone in a rabbit hole, theorizing what transpired in the encounter. The tweet, which contains a redacted conversation between what seemed to be a source from the scene, alleged that it was one of Quavo's team's bullets that hit Takeoff the second time.

Photos of Takeoff being surrounded by other people while he was shot near the head have been making waves on social media already.

Houston Police Department said they received a call at around 2:30 a.m. Upon responding to the scene, it was said that Takeoff was already pronounced dead shortly after he was shot.

However, The Associated Press noted that Takeoff's dead body was not loaded in the medical examiner's van until around 10 a.m. local time.
