It looks like The Recording Academy is doing its very best to bag at least one female superstar in the upcoming 65th Annual Grammy Awards on Feb. 5, 2023.

The first wave of acts has already been released, but fans aren't that thrilled as there was still no word on the attendance and performances from big names like Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, and even Kendrick Lamar.

Adele, the third most-nominated artist of the night, with seven nominations, like Brandi Carlile, was reported to have bowed out on performing and even attending the ceremony. Adele was currently on her highly-awaited Las Vegas Residency, and the GRAMMY date fell in between her limited performances in Sin City.

Meanwhile, The Recording Academy has announced the first artists confirmed to perform on the live telecast.

Sam Smith and Kim Petras will be performing their Grammy-nominated smash hit "Unholy," while Brandi Carlile will also be performing.

Steve Lacy, Lizzo, and Mary J Blige were also scheduled to perform on the show.

Bad Bunny, one of the biggest artists right now, was also tapped to perform. Benito makes Latin history as his hit album," Un Verano Sin Ti," was the first all-Spanish album to be nominated for the Album of the Year category. He, along with BLACKPINK and Frank Ocean, were recently announced to headline Coachella 2023.

With Adele bowing out, the spotlight turns to Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Adele, and Kendrick Lamar, as the bigger artists expected to grace the Awards ceremony.

According to Hits Daily Double, Grammy insiders recently revealed that the Television committee has been working round the clock on the negotiations between The Academy and one "female superstar." The outlet suggests that it could either be Taylor Swift or Beyonce since Adele has already tapped out.

Beyonce is fresh from her now-viral private performance in Dubai, complete with the grandiose spectacle and hydrotechnic effects. Meanwhile, Swift just released the second music video off her latest album, "Midnights," earlier today, the purple-laced "Lavender Haze" music video.

Bagging either of the two big stars could mean so much for The Recording Academy, which has been experiencing dwindling viewership since 2019. The 2022 GRAMMYs edged out the 2021 GRAMMYs by just a hair - with 8.93 million and 8.8 million viewers, respectively.
