The legal drama and scathing comments thrown by Mick Mars and Nikki Six have reached a new height - as their longtime manager, Allen Kovac, finally meddled in the controversy.
Mick Mars Sues Mötley Crüe
Last Apr. 6, 2023, Billboard reported that longtime Mötley Crüe guitarist Mick Mars served Mötley Crüe a damaging lawsuit alleging them of "unceremoniously" terminating him after he disclosed that he has a chronic illness.
In the complaint, Mars' lawyers revealed that after Mars revealed that he had ankylosing spondylitis, which prompted him to drop out from the tour. Apparently, after revealing his illness, Mötley Crüe called for an emergency meeting and moved to fire him from the band, only offering him 5% of his supposed 25% share from the band as a form of courtesy.
However, according to the band, Mars' removal was done under a legal cause. Furthermore, the complaint also alleged that Nikki Six "gaslighted" Mars by "severly criticizing" him during the rehearsals.
Pushing back on his removal, Mötley Crüe sought "arbitration," a silent legal move to solve the case under wraps. However, Mars decided to publicize it so that "the public would not be aware of the deplorable manner in which they treated their 'brother' of 41 years," Mars' lawyer said in the suit.
In a Variety interview, Mars said some scathing allegations.
"Those guys have been hammering on me since '87, trying to replace me," he told the magazine.

Mötley Crüe Responds To The Lawsuit
However, on the side of Nikki Six and the band, they believe that it wasn't Mick Mars controlling the reins, but instead his lawyer, Edwin McPherson.
In a Tweet, Nikki Six shared that it was a "sad day for us" after the publication of the supposed quiet legal move.

Mötley Crüe's manager, Allan Kovac, also stepped up and shared his two cents.
"What's upsetting to me is not Mick, but his representatives, who have guided Mick to say and do harmful things to the brand he cares about so much, Mötley Crüe. He has a degenerative disease and people are taking advantage of him. It's called elder abuse," Kovac claims.
