Bebe Rexha is reintroducing herself with the release of her third studio album, "Bebe."

"It's about feeling empowered even while feeling uncertain - of change, growing up, self-reflecting," the singer explained to Variety. "I've always been open in my lyrics - and with life in general - when it comes to talking about what I've been through...this album is about expression and tells a story about having a change of heart."

"Bebe" boasts 12 tracks, with several star-studded collaborations like Dolly Parton, Snoop Dogg, and David Guetta.

70s Inspired

Fans are probably familiar with the singer's hit song "I'm Good (Blue)," which Rexha worked with Guetta last year. The song went viral on TikTok which paved the way to make the quintessential 70s-inspired album.

"I started the album out more '70s [themed], and then 'I'm Good' happened," she explained. I was like, 'OK, how do I connect both of these worlds? I'm going to make some '70s-style dance music and incorporate that dance element.'"

The new theme and the revival of the 70s genre comes as no surprise because more and more albums have been taking a page from the music released over five decades ago.

However, what makes "Bebe" so different is that it's Rexha's newest and arguably most personal album yet.

'Bebe'

Despite being in the music industry for so long, Rexha admitted that she still feels like she has not quite " made it" yet, and "Bebe" might just be her ticket.

"I was like, 'I wish more people knew who I was,' but now I'm just grateful. I feel super blessed that I'm able to create," she said.

This new mindset for the singer has helped her immensely as she has been working on this album since 2021.

"From my last album to now, I'm definitely in a much better place. Somebody described the last album being more like the moon, and this being more like the sun."

"The energy's different. It's more vibrant and fun. I hope the world loves it as much as I do," Rexha added.

It also probably does help to have country music's most iconic singers in your corner.

Rexha shared what it was like to record "Seasons" with the legendary singer. "She's like a ball of energy. She's just so loving, so kind, so funny."
