Kellie Pickler's family is still mourning the death of her husband, Kyle Jacobs, three months after his passing. More recently, the official cause of death of her late partner has been released online.

According to Davidson county medical examiner's autopsy report, as obtained by Taste of Country, the 49-year-old songwriter passed away due to an "intraoral shotgun wound."

A spokesperson from the Metropolitan Nashville Police, Don Aaron, previously confirmed that the musician indeed died from a gunshot that he inflicted onto himself.

The autopsy report also noted that Pickler's husband didn't have any drugs or abusive substances in his system when he died, but he had problems internally like pseudoseizures, gastrointernal bleeding, and more.

The outlet that published the report didn't note the manner of death, but Page Six suggested that it was likely ruled a suicide.

Kyle Jacobs Death

In early reports, the country songwriter died at his Nashville home on February 17. At the time of his death, Kellie Pickler was in the same house.

The Nashville Police previously told the press that it was the "American Idol" alum and her assistant who found the body in an upstairs bedroom.

It was noted in the report that Pickler woke up and couldn't find her husband anywhere, leading her to look for him around the house. When she stumbled upon the locked door upstairs, the assistant immediately called 911.

The couple got married in 2011. They had a successful career together as musicians in the music industry, as well as reality TV personalities. They previously starred in a reality show titled "I Love Kellie Pickler" on CMT.

The female singer's career skyrocketed when she joined as a contestant on "American Idol" in 2006. She later released several musical projects like albums and singles.

Her most recent gig was a DJ on SiriusXM's "The Highway" last year, but she left the show in March of this year.

On the other hand, Kyle Jacobs was a famour songwriter for country musicians, he previously worked with stars like Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Jo Dee Messina, Kelly Clarkson, and many more.

As of this writing, Kellie Pickler remains silent on social media and has not publicly reacted on her husband's passing.
