Tina Turner passed away peacefully in her home in Switzerland at the age of 83.

She may be gone, but her legacy will remain cemented in people's hearts, thanks to her classic and timeless music.

According to reports, the "What's Love Got to Do With It" singer has managed to set herself up for life, after laying the solid foundation of her music career.

Turner had a net worth of $250 million by the time of her death, which is no easy feat for any other artist out there.

Humble Beginnings

Despite dying a millionaire, Turner's life was riddled with hardship. Before she found success, she came from an earnest hardwordworking family.

They were picking cotton for a living before she worked several other tough jobs. She eventually found success with the release of "A Fool in Love," which peaked at No. 2 on the Hot R&B Sides Charts and No. 27 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

While she might have found much success in music, thanks to her partner Ike Turner, she also lived an abuse life with him.

"It wasn't a good life. The good did not balance the bad," she said about her post-traumatic stress disorder. "I had an abusive life, there's no other way to tell the story. It's a reality. It's a truth. That's what you've got, so you have to accept it."

"Some people say the life that I lived and the performances that I gave, the appreciation, is blasting with the people. And yeah, I should be proud of that. I am. But when do you stop being proud? I mean, when do you, how do you bow out slowly? Just go away?"

World Records

Despite going through that horrific experience, Turner managed to eventually strike out on her own and still managed to make it big.

According to reports, the Queen of Rock 'n' Roll was a constant world record breaker. Her Twenty Four Seven Tour grossed $100 million, and sold more tickets throughout her career than any other solo performer.

She also had a biopic titled "What's Love Got to Do With It," starring Angela Basset, who also happened to be the one who inducted her into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2021.

Her successful career, marred by abuse, was evidently the same one that brought her comfort during her last years alive.
