KISS has been planning to retire over the past few years now, but it appears that they're ready to hang their costumes soon and rest after decades of performing as they announced their final show in Australia.
According to Rolling Stone, the legendary band will take the stage of the Accor Stadium in Sydney, Australia, on October 7, 2023, for their farewell show in the country titled "The Final Curtain."
For those who are interested in watching the iconic rockers jam on stage with their classic hits for the last time, tickets will be available to the general public starting on May 31 at 12 p.m. local time.
Pre-sale will begin on May 29 at 2 p.m. local time.
Regarding their special guests, Weezer will be their supporting act at the show. They're popularly known for their massive hits such as "Buddy Holly" and "Beverly Hills."
KISS Final Australian Show Was Due to Public Demand
One of the main reasons why the band is going to perform at their final show in Sydney is because of public demand by fans who wanted to see the musicians belt out their best hits before ultimately closing the curtain at their New York City show in December.
In a statement reported by the outlet, Paul Stanley said Australian fans made their voices loud enough that "it was impossible for us not to hear you."
Since they were overwhelmed with the petition for them to perform down under, they wanted to bring the show to the Australian capital "for a bombastic farewell."

"We will make it unforgettable for all who share the night with us," he added.
The band's relationship with the country goes way back to 1980 when they performed their first Australian show.
Following this, they amassed millions if not thousands of fans from the country which helped them boost their career into the international scene.
KISS Final Show in New York City
After their Australian show, the band will be performing their final concerts ever at Madison Square Garden in New York City on December 1 and 2.
In an announcement during their appearance at "The Howard Stern" show earlier this year, Paul Stanley said the reason why their farewell tour has been going on for years was because they lost over more than two years due to the global pandemic.
He also noted that if COVID-19 didn't happen, the group would be done touring already.
Gene Simmons later chimed in and revealed that he's sure he's going to "cry like a 9-year-old girl whose foot's being stepped on" at their show.
