When a fan attempted to play a game, Ne-Yo, known for his trademark hats, wasn't having it.

As he reached up from the crowd of spectators and removed his hat during a recent concert, he quickly let her know that this behavior was not acceptable.

Without hesitation, he promptly asked her to leave the stage.

Ne-Yo Loses Cool On Stage

At a recent concert, an audience member found out the hard way that Ne-Yo is not okay with his hat being taken off.

Unhappily for her, she discovered this as she pulled his hat right off of his head.

A video of a female fan made its way around the internet, showing her onstage while wearing Ne-Yo's iconic hat.

Though she seemed to mean no harm, Ne-Yo did not find it amusing and declared that this woman was not a true "Ne-Yo" fan before snatching his hat back.

"She knows good god d---n well she wasn't supposed to grab my hat," he continued before ushering the fan offstage. "Get your a-- back over there" he declared as he pointed towards the rear of the stage.

The crowd cheered as Ne-Yo approached the first fan that had come up to join him and gestured like he was going to give her a kick on the rear end.

He then called for another fan to come up, yet it was evident that the woman wasn't prepared to go away just yet.

Why Does Ne-Yo Have A Lot of Hats?

No doubt Ne-Yo is a fashion icon, but the artist revealed that his signature accessory - the hat - was originally intended to hide an uncomfortable hair loss situation.

He previously revealed, per Capital FM, "The men in my family start losing their hair early on. My hair started receding when I was just 13."

"So that was why I originally started wearing hats. Then I got super-confident with who I am, but they were already part of my look, so the hats stayed."

Ne-Yo is no stranger to the music scene, having released four studio albums with his fourth, "Libra Scale," set for a September 2010 release.

He's often seen sporting headgear of various sorts, although he refutes any notion that it brings him luck. His first album was 2006's "In My Own Words."

The hit singer explained, "Once you've worn something and someone's taken a picture of it, that's it. You can never wear it again. So I can't have a lucky hat, T-shirt, or shoes."
