The College Rover conducted a study to find out which artists students like to listen to and found that students with high Grade Point Averages gravitate towards Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, SZA, Harry Styles, and Post Malone's music.

According to their website, high-achieving students with GPAsranging from 3.5 to 4.0 like listening to the following genres: pop, Lo-Fi, hip-hop or rap, instrumental, classical, alternative, indie, rock, EDM, jazz, country, metal, folk, blues, and reggae.

College Rover is a website that pairs students with college majors; they surveyed over a thousand students between the ages of 18 and 23.

According to reports, following Swift in the list is The Weeknd, SZA, Harry Styles, Post Malone, Fleetwood Mac, Ariana Grande, Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna, and finally Tyler The Creator.

Other artists who were included in the list are Drake, 21 Savage, Queen, Imagine Dragons, J. Cole, Adele, Mac Miller, Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, and Lil Uzi Vert.

Taylor Swift a Master of Songwriting

The "Anti-Hero" singer has always been dubbed by her fans as the music industry itself. They joke about how the singer's bad posture is because of the weight of carrying the industry on her shoulders.

However, there is no denying that Swift is a master of songwriting, and she knows exactly what people want out of her music releases.

Swift is known to explore different genres throughout her career; she started off with country before eventually moving on to pop, alternative, indie, and even releasing some jazz and rock-inspired songs.

Her wide array of genres and songs provides listeners with more options of albums and songs to listen to, depending on their mood.

On the other hand, the other artists included in the list have enjoyed much success with her music releases, especially SZA whose newly released album "SOS" stayed atop music charts.

Students with high GPAs also like hip-hop and rap music, which is why a good number of artists included in the list are rappers like Post Malone, Drake, 21 Savage, J. Cole, Mac Miller, and Lil Uzi Vert.

Students Prefer BTS, Twice, SEVENTEEN

According to the study, students have specific favorite artists per genre, in R&B, the top artists are SZA, Khalid, and Beyonce.

For Rock, it is Fleetwood Mac, The Strokes, and The Killers. For one of the most popular genres right now, KPOP, it is BTS, Twice, and SEVENTEEN.

The three aforementioned KPOP groups are very prominent and successful in not just South Korea where they hail from but internationally as well.
