Kanye West officially returns to Twitter, which is now called X, after being banned in 2022 for posting a swastika image.

West had been banned by Twitter back then after his very problematic and hate speech toward the Jews.

Kanye West Returns To Twitter

According to a Variety report, Kanye West's return to the newly-rebranded platform after he reportedly promised to do good again. The report said that the embattled rapper promised that he would refrain from posting antisemitic tweets and other hateful content.

Notably, Kanye West was banned on Twitter in December 2022 after he posted an image of a Nazi swastika inside the Star of David. Although the post has been deleted already, it amassed more backlash for the problematic artist.

He has since been targeting Jews in his public pronouncements in 2022, unleashing a nationwide fury against him and his beliefs.

At the time, Elon Musk, the new owner at the time suspended Kanye West's accounts, citing his move to tweet the infamous icon as "incitement to violence."

It seemed like West appealed his return to the platform as The Wall Street Journal reported that the platform received "reassurance that he wouldn't use the platform to share antisemitic or otherwise harmful language."

Variety tried to fact-check the said source but only received an automated response of "We'll get back to you soon."

As of this writing, West hasn't posted anything new since he got suspended last year.

Why Kanye West Lost His Billion-Dollar Mark

Following his antisemitic lash-out at the media, Kanye West lost major deals on his business. Notably, after claiming that Adidas wouldn't sever ties with him amid all of his pronouncements, the apparel giant did the funniest thing and did the opposite.

Because of the Adidas x Yeezy collaboration now being sacked, Kanye West's net worth plummeted to 300-400k dollars, losing his billion-dollar standing. Adidas was actually one of the last few brands to sack him as he lost many other deals beforehand.

Kanye also suffered many losses as he failed to secure another shoe brand that would house his Yeezy collection. Adidas also felt the brunt of the Yeezy loss but remained firm on their decision to cut ties with West.

West had recently been on the down low as he spends time with his new girlfriend, Bianca Censori.
