Selena Gomez revealed her requirements and qualifications in choosing her lovers. Gomez has been on a radio tour to promote her newest song, "Single Soon."

Speaking to Hits 1 LA on Sirius XM, Selena Gomez revealed what she wants a lover.
"I think I have standards, and I think I live in a world right now where boys confuse standards with high maintenance," Gomez admitted. "I'm not ashamed to say, 'I actually require X, Y, and Z for you to be with me.'"
For the Disney Channel alum, one has got to be "cool."
"Not cool in the sense that people think you're cool. You just gotta be nice and like, please make me laugh and also just be good to my family and people around you," she added.
Notably, Selena Gomez has had many boyfriends before. Among them were Justin Bieber, Nick Jonas, Taylor Lautner, The Weeknd, and even Drew Taggart.
But speaking from experience, Gomez has since loved being single. (via Access Hollywood)
"I think everybody goes through the phase of, 'Oh, it'd be nice to like have someone,' and I get that. But you know, I'm just enjoying where I'm at and I just want to be happy with who I am so that whenever that person comes into my life, I can just have them add on to me instead of being this insecure, you know, person that I normally used to be," Gomez furthered.

Gomez's new song, "Single Soon," is reported to be part of her upcoming studio album that has yet to be finished. (via Entertainment Tonight)
While the album has yet to be finished, Gomez assured her fans that "Single Soon's" mood might be the overarching theme of the album, as there would be no "sad songs" in it.
"And I don't mean that in a way, like, everything is not full of meaning because I think even the most poppy songs can have heart. And I want that to come across, but I genuinely don't feel like I have anything in me to write something negative. It just doesn't match with where I am anymore," she pointed out.
Although she has been entangled in some Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber drama in the past few months, Gomez has since clarified that she is focused on herself, her music, and acting career.
